19 year old teen on the run for poisoning her 11 week old niece

A 19-year-old teenage girl, Sarai Rodriguez-Miranda from Indiana, is wanted on an arrest warrant after allegedly trying to kill her 11-week-old niece by poisoning her bottled breast milk.

Authorities began investigating the teenager after her mother came across disturbing text messages her daughter exchanged with her boyfriend on the phone Rodriguez-Miranda shared with her mother back in January.

Rodriguez-Miranda, who also lived with her mother, was upset that her mother allowed her brother, his fiance and their baby to move into the house.

In a text she wrote to her boyfriend,Rodriguez-Miranda reportedly wrote:

"I'm gonna crush up some of these pills since she decided they can stay longer and kill their baby".
The pills she texted about were discovered to be crushed Excedrin tablets.

"I put the stuff in a made bottle in the fridge," she texted. "Yeah I thought it was funny that I don't have an ounce of guilt."
Later that same day, the teen allegedly texted her boyfriend telling him how excited she was that the tainted bottle had disappeared.

"Omg I forgot to tell you, the bottle is gone … I know I'm so excited dude," the alleged message read.
In the text messages, Rodriguez-Miranda reportedly expressed her frustrations to her boyfriend after the baby continued to live.

"Why didn’t that baby die dude," she allegedly wrote. "I hope she dies. I don’t feel bad about it bc she was destined to grow up f*cked or be abused. I’d never be suspect I know but I hope it works."
After Miranda's mum saw her daughter's horrifying text messages, Rodriguez-Miranda's mother took screenshots of the texts and took the child  straight to the emergency room after noticing a green-colored residue towards the bottom of a bottle.

Fortunately, the hospital determined the infant girl did not show any signs of poisoning.

The bottles were later tested after the family turned them over to police. According to the report, one of the bottles contained the equivalent of nine Excedrin pills, which is a fatal amount even for adults.

Rodriguez-Miranda fled with her boyfriend and has been on the run since January. Police believe the couple is in Michigan.

On Monday she was charged with attempted murder. If caught, she will be held on $50,000 bail.

HAVING A 'WORK SPOUSE' MAKES YOU HAPPIER

Ben Friberg knew he had met someone special at work when they bonded over their knowledge of Greek mythology. He had just started working as a photographer at a television news station in Austin, Texas in 2007 and he and his colleague, a reporter, were waiting to interview someone for a story. “We were still in the ‘getting to know you’ phase,” says Friberg. They started discussing the movie Troy, and she pointed out the discrepancies between the movie and the Iliad, the Greek story it loosely chronicles. “I can remember thinking, ‘this is going to be a different type of relationship,’” says Friberg.
